Christmas time is my favorite time. It is not only a time to celebrate the holiday season, it is also a time for my family to celebrate birthdays! My Mom, Dad, and I were all born in December so this year we a doing a joint birthday lunch were we celebrate everyone in one day. I am planning on making a lemon poppy seed cake but who knows, my plans for making cakes always seem to go crazy.

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 1/2 cup flour
- 3/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 3 drops red food coloring
- 3 drops green food coloring

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter, gradually add powdered sugar, beating well. Add flour and mix. Stir in peppermint extract. Divide dough in half and place in two different bowls. Put red and green food coloring into the two different bowls. Make balls with dough and alternate colors to make the wreaths. Bake for 8 min. Let cool for 10 min
